Summary: A big, beautiful waterfall, that is easily visited. Yellowstone is a marvel, full of waterfalls and other amazing sights. Definitely something to see.

The Lower Yellowstone Falls are in Yellowstone National Park, near Canyon Village. This is one of the most impressive waterfalls in North America.

There are many areas from which to view the falls. Nice distant views can be had from Artist's Points, or the overlooks on the north side of the Canyon. For a closer view of the falls, take Uncle Tom's Trail, which consists of a series of metal stairs that lead down into the Canyon.

Nearby Falls

Yellowstone is full of waterfalls. The Upper Falls and Lower Falls are the grandest of the two, and can be easily seen from several viewpoints.

Many of the others are roadside falls, such as Firehole Falls, Gibbon Falls, Kepler Cascades, Lewis Falls, Moose Falls, Rustic Falls, Tower Falls, and Undine Falls. Others, such as Mystic Falls require a hike of a few miles, and there are many more wild and remote waterfalls. This map shows the location of many of the major waterfalls in Yellowstone.
