Yellowstone National Park is the world's first national park. It is home to geysers, hot springs, mountains, valleys, canyons, bison, grizzly bears and many, many waterfalls. The above map only shows a fraction of the falls in and around the park. Falls displayed in bold are the ones I have personally visited.
Many of Yellowstone's waterfalls are in the "front country", and it only takes a short walk from your car to see them. These include the Lower Falls, one of the most impressive falls in the U.S., the Upper Falls, Tower Falls and Undine Falls. Hikes of a few hours or so will take you to Mystic Falls, Fairy Falls and Osprey Falls.
For the adventurous, Yellowstone's southwestern "Cascade Corner" contains a large number of spectacular waterfalls. Union Falls, Terraced Falls, Colonnade Falls and Dunanda Falls are among the best. Terraced Falls can actually be reached by a short hike, but the others require hikes of over 10 miles one way.
For the extremely adventurous there are many other waterfalls deep in Cascade Corner and elsewhere throughout the park. Most of these falls are not on any established trail. Many of these were recently discovered or rediscovered and are documented and named in The Guide to Yellowstone Waterfalls and their Discovery. This is a fascinating book, with plenty of pictures. It contains information about over 200 waterfalls including the extremely remote Isolation Fall and the not so remote but extremely difficult to visit Zephyr Falls, Tempest Falls, and the Citadel of Asgard Falls.
Pictures of some of these falls can be found at the sites below.
