Summary: Another easy to see waterfall in Yellowstone. Yellowstone is a marvel, full of waterfalls and other amazing sights. Definitely something to see.

Lewis Falls is in Yellowstone National Park, roughly halfway between Grant and the south entrance. This is another roadside falls. There is a small parking area along the main road. Unlike some of the other roadside falls, you can easily get down to the river leve. You can walk back across the bridge or up the hill to get different views of the falls.

The waterfall was named for Meriwether Lewis of Lewis and Clark fame.

Nearby Falls

Yellowstone is full of waterfalls. The Upper Falls and Lower Falls are the grandest, and easily seen from several viewpoints.

Many of the others are roadside falls, such as Firehole Falls, Gibbon Falls, Kepler Cascades, Lewis Falls, Moose Falls, Rustic Falls, Tower Falls, and Undine Falls. Others, such as Mystic Falls require a hike of a few miles, and there are many more wild and remote waterfalls.
