Summary: One of the many easily accessed waterfalls of Yellowstone. Yellowstone is a marvel, full of waterfalls and other amazing sights. Definitely something to see.

Rustic Falls are in Yellowstone National Park, a few miles south of Mammoth Springs. There is a small parking area alongside the road from which you can get a nice view of the waterfall. This waterfall is best viewed early in the season. By mid July the flow over this fall gets pretty low. This is in spite of the fact that the flow of Glen Creek has been augmented by means of an underground pipe from Indian Creek. I do not know exactly when or why this was done.

Nearby Falls

Yellowstone is full of waterfalls. The Upper Falls and Lower Falls are the grandest, and easily seen from several viewpoints.

Many of the others are roadside falls, such as Firehole Falls, Gibbon Falls, Kepler Cascades, Lewis Falls, Moose Falls, Rustic Falls, and Undine Falls. Others, such as Mystic Falls require a hike of a few miles, and there are many more wild and remote waterfalls.
