Summary: Glen Falls is a pretty, and for its size, underpublicized waterfall. It is very easy to visit and close to many other waterfalls, including Niagara Falls.

Glen Falls is located in Williamsville New York. There is a small city park, appropriately named Glen Park, around the falls. The falls are actually visible from the road, but you might as well park to get a good look at the falls. The park also includes the old Williamsville Mill.

I had the good fortune to visit the falls during a time of high water, and the bad fortune to visit during a time of low light. There had been some heavy rains shortly before my visit. Normally much more rock is visible at the falls.

Williamsville is just east of Buffalo. Exit 7B on I-290 takes you to Main Street. Take Main Street about a mile east to Mill Street. Turn left. Take the first left onto Glen Avenue. The parking area for Glen Park will be on your right. The falls are on the other side of Glen Avenue.

Nearby Falls

Niagara Falls is only a 30 minute drive away, which may explain why this falls is not better known. Niagara is tough competition. Akron Falls is 30 minutes to the east. The big falls at Letchworth State Park is 90 minutes away. A dozen other waterfalls are in an hours drive.
