Copper Rock Falls is a pair of falls and other minor rapids on the Grasse River. Of the 6 named falls, this is the farthestmost upstream. There are two main drops, each around 10' high. The dowstream drop of the two is the larger and more scenic.
The falls is located along Tooley Pond Road, 8.6 miles from its terminus at County Route 27. The road crosses the river a short distance downstream of the falls, so unlike the other waterfalls the trailhead will be on the left side of the road, assuming you started at Route 27. There is plenty of room to park on the right side of the road, and a small sign on a tree identifying this as Copper Rock Falls.
The trail is a simple hiking trail, and was rather muddy in some places. When the trail reaches the river, you are only half way there. There are some small rapids but the real falls are upstream. The trail follows the river bank, with some ups and downs and some more muddy spots. After a half mile you will reach the larger drop. The uppermost drop is just above that.
Based on the aerial imagery, the Grasse River divides around the lower rapids. From the trail you will only be able to see the southern channel. Copper Rock Falls proper may be a drop on the northern channel.
Nearby Falls
The larger and more scene Rainbow Falls is 2.5 miles downstream. The bigger, but harder to visit Twin Falls is 5 miles downstream. Sinclair Falls is a mile beyond that, and Basford Falls is another half mile. The large and scenic Lampson Falls is 15 miles to the north along Country Route 27.
