Summary: Clarks Gully is one of several glens and gullies in the Naples area. This is the farthest from Naples and the wildest of the bunch. Unless you are willing to climb, you will only see one waterfall here. This is a good or a bad thing, depending on the person.

Clarks Gully is a located a few miles north east of Naples New York. This is the most adventurous of the four glens and gullies in the area. A short creek walk takes you the base of the pictured falls, which is about 20 feet high. Beyond this in the upper gorge two more waterfalls of over 60' can be found, however getting beyond the first waterfall is not trivial. I was not sufficiently motived or informed that day to figure out how to get past it.

More information and pictures of the upper falls can be found at www.naturalhighs.net.

To reach this waterfall from Naples, head north east on Route 245 for about 4 miles. Take a left on Sunnyside Road. Follow this for about 1/2 mile until you reach the intersection with West Avenue. You will cross the West River on the way. There is a parking area right by the intersection.

[Finger Lakes] Nearby Falls

Grimes Glen and Tannery Creek Glen are both back in Naples. Conklin Gully is just off of Route 245 on Parrish Hill Road. You will pass this on your way between Naples and Clarks Gully. Watkins Glen is about 50 miles to the east, and Stony Brook is about 30 miles to the south east. Dozens of other waterfalls are within an hours drive.
