Summary: A nice water fall just downstream of the very interesting Devil's Kettle Falls. Stop by and take a look on your way to the Devil's Kettle.

The Upper Falls of the Brule River is in Minnesota's Judge Magney State Park. It is on the trail that leads to Devil's Kettle Falls, and there is no reason not to take the short side trip necessary to visit the falls. You might be able to use the Upper Falls as a means of getting closer to the base of the Devil's Kettle Falls.

The Upper Falls is downstream of Devil's Kettle. I am not sure if there is a named lower falls anywhere. Near the parking lot the trail crosses a bridge over a small cascade, and the trail passes a couple of other cascades, any of which may be the lower falls.

[Lake Superior] [North Shore] Nearby Falls

Devil's Kettle Falls is a few hundred yards upstream. The High Falls of the Pigeon River, the High Falls of the Baptism River, Two Step Falls, Cross River Falls, Gooseberry Falls, and the Temperance River Gorge are all along Minnesota's north shore.
