Hoggs Falls is another of the many waterfalls of the Niagara Escarpment. This is a small, secluded and mostly wild waterfall, located in forest preserve in Beaver Valley. There are no platforms or fences or signs, just some old mill ruins. The trail to the falls is at most 1km. It appears to be a good spot for fishing. The fishermen were literally running to get there.
Hoggs Falls is very close to Eugenia Falls and there is no reason not to visit both while in the area. To reach Hoggs Falls from Eugenia Falls, head south on Grey County Road 13. Take a right onto Hwy 4. After a couple of minutes take a right (north) onto East Back Line road (East Back Line jogs when it hits Hwy 4, so you will reach East Back Line south before you reach East Back line north). This is a hard packed dirt road. Take the first left onto Lower Valley Road. The trail to the falls is on the left hand side of the road, and is marked by two yellow posts. You can park on the right hand side of the road.
