Summary: Cane Creek Cascades is the smaller upstream companion of Cane Creek Falls. This falls is not as impressive, but it is much easier to visit.

Cane Creek Cascades is located in Fall Creek Falls State Park right behind the nature center. The cascades are easy to visit, and you can even stand underneath them if you wish. As the name implies the cascades are not a plunge, unlike the much higher Cane Creek Falls.

A suspension bridge crosses Cane Creek just above the falls. This connects to the trails that lead to Fall Creek Falls and the overlook to Cane Creek Falls. You can also peek around the corner to see the upper edge of Cane Creek Falls.

The falls are easy to find. The roads through the park wind a lot, but with a map it is easy to find the falls. The park itself is also easy to find and will be on any decent map of Tennessee.

[Cumberland Plateau] Nearby Falls

Cane Creek Falls is just downstream of Cane Creek Falls. A 30 minute, 1.5 mile hike from the cascades will take you to Fall Creek Falls. Piney Creek Falls is a few miles away by car, foot or bike. Virgin Falls, Twin Falls and many others are within an hour to the north. Laurel Falls is 30 miles to the east.
