Summary:

Potholes Provincial Park is located 70 km east of Wawa on Hwy 101. This is a small park, and it is not well marked. I believe it has recently been downgraded from an operating to a non-operating park.

This is not a major waterfall, but it is an interesting combination of water and rock. The river has carved out a couple of large potholes and has also carved interesting curves into the rock. You have to see it to fully appreciate it. Unfortunately the surrounding area has a certain devastated look about it, as if there have been too much fire or forestry.

The park is quite out of the way. Given that it is such a small (but scenic) attraction, you may want to think twice before heading there from Wawa, unless of course you are on your way to Chapleau or points east.

High Falls and the other Wawa waterfalls are 70km to the west. To the east is a whole lot of open wilderness. I know of no waterfalls in this area, but it would not surprise me if there are some hidden away somewhere.
