Eagle River Falls is in Eagle River, on MI-26. This is a roadside falls. There is a small park and a pedestrian bridge from where you can get a nice view of the falls. There is an old dam at the top of the falls. The falls used to power the Lake Superior Safety Fuse Factory. In the spring the falls is much wider and sometimes flows over the dam. This is one of the many Lake Superior WaterFalls.
The pedestrian bridge used to be the main bridge, and is of historical interest. It is an early steel bridge. Personally, I thought the modern bridge it was replaced with was much more interesting.
Fenners Falls, a 20' drop is located upstream, but it is not easy to find. There is supposed to be a rough foot trail leading to it from Route 26, but I could not find it. There is another 10' drop above Fenners Falls.
[Lake Superior] Nearby Falls
Fenners Falls is upstream. Jacob Falls is 4 miles to the east on MI-26. Silver River Falls and Manganese Falls are further east in Copper Harbor. Two small falls can be found on the Gratiot River about 10 miles to the southwest.
