Summary: Bushkill Falls is an impressive 100' falls. The highlight and namesake of a private tourist attraction, this is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Pennsylvania.

Bushkill Falls is an impressive 100' drop located near Bushkill Pennsylvania near the Delaware Water Gap. For over 100 years this has been a privately owned tourist attraction. It is billed as the "Niagara of Pennsylvania", which is a bit of an exaggeration, but it is an impressive waterfall, located in an impressive gorge.

Finding the falls is easy. There are lots of signs along the roads telling you how to get there. The park is 2 miles north of Route 209 via Bushkill Falls Road. You have to pay to see the falls. In 2018, the admission fee was $16.50 per adult.

There is an impressive set of boardwalks and stairs that wind there way through the gorge, leading to the top of the falls, the base of the falls, and various points in between. There are lots of photo opportunities along the way.

A short distance downstream of the main falls is another significant drop. Unfortunately there is no way to get a good look at it. The only views available are obscured by trees.

You can easily spend a couple of hours in the park. You can make a large loop past all the major features in the park by starting at the top of the falls you can take the stairs down to the base, then follow the trails out to Bridal Veil Falls, then to the small Pennel Falls, and back through the gorge to the top of the falls.

The 'kill' in Bushkill is from the Dutch word for creek or river. So Bushkill Falls means Bush Creek Falls.

Nearby Falls

The much smaller Bridal Veil Falls, Brides Maid Falls and Pennell Falls are located in the park. The equally impressive Dingman Falls and Raymondskill Falls are each less than 20 miles away. New Jersey's Buttermilk Falls is 20 miles away by car, but half that as the crow flies..
