Summary: Dingmans Falls is the second largest waterfall in Delaware Water Gap National Park. It is not quite as large as Raymondskill Falls, but it is easier to visit.

Dingmans Falls is a 130' falls in Delaware Water Gap National Park. An accessible boardwalk leads to the base of the falls. The trail begins at the parking lot for the Dingmans Falls Visitor Center and is about 1000' long. Along the way you will pass Silverthread Falls.

A stairway and trail climbs to the top of the falls. Along the way it crosses a second smaller stream that tumbles into the gorge at the base of Dingmans Falls. This falls consists of a number of small drops, but there is no vantage point from which to see much of it.

The visitor center is off of US 209, just south of the 209/739 junction.

Dingmans Falls is named for Andrew Dingman, who set up a ferry across the Delaware River in 1735. The ferry, the creek, the nearby town and the falls all acquired his name.
